Community Justice Alternatives of Durham Region is a twenty-seven(27) year old non-profit agency funded by the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and assisted by donations from local churches, community groups, individuals and businesses. The Agency administers five programs:

• Victim-Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP)
• Community Service Order (C.S.O.)
• Durham Community Mediation Program (DCMP)
• Conflict, Anger, Learning Communication, and Mediation
• Adult Justice Committee
  

These programs contribute toward the prevention of crime and the development of safer community by addressing social issues and the rehabilitation of offenders

We operate with a staff of 7 employees, over 30 volunteers and presently handle over 800 clients in the Durham Region. In addition to our ongoing programs we offer various services to the community. Ask about our Mediation Training Service.
